The German Business Association (GBA) has been one of the first foreign business associations in Vietnam, starting its activities already back in 1995. For 30 years, GBA has been the focal point of German business life, culture, and values in Vietnam. It has helped German businesses in developing their operations, has advised on a wide range of topics, and created opportunities for business and social exchange across Vietnam.

The GBA is a non-governmental, non-profit organization dedicated to fostering strong bilateral socio-economic relations between Vietnam and Germany. The members are supported in developing and protecting their business activities, ensuring they have the necessary tools and connections to succeed.

Through an extensive network, the GBA provides valuable connections to business and political representatives, creates environments for knowledge-sharing, and assists companies in understanding the opportunities and challenges of investing in Vietnam.

Today, the GBA boasts over 400 members, reflecting the vibrant and dynamic nature of the Vietnamese market. It is one of the largest foreign business associations in Vietnam and a respected counterpart in the local community. This year alone, the GBA attracted over 20,000 participants to 70 business, sports, social, and cultural events, organized and co-hosted with various chambers of commerce and business associations across Vietnam. The monthly business meetings and networking events are designed to facilitate cross-industry collaboration, enabling the members to build networks, exchange insights, and gain valuable knowledge.

In addition, the GBA was a founding member of EuroCham Vietnam, a partnership that represents pan-European activities and interests in the country. The GBA membership automatically includes the EuroCham membership, strengthening the ties with other European business communities.
